Annabela’s Angels donates to hospital

The Waterbury-based charity Annabella’s Angels recently donated handmade blankets to Bristol Hospital’s Families are First Maternity Unit. The blankets were made by Thomaston resident Barbara Wisavsky. In April, Annabella’s Angels donated a CuddleCot to Bristol Hospital.  Annabella’s Angels is raising funds to purchase and donate CuddleCots in Annabella and her angel friends’ memory so that other families facing the tragic loss of their beautiful babies, due to stillbirth or later term miscarriage, can have the precious gift of time.  In attendance at the blanket donation included, from the left,: from Bristol Hospital, Patricia Coppola, MSN, RN, CNOR, director of perioperative services; Families are First Staff Nurse Terri Faragher, RN; from Annabella’s Angels, president and founder Jessica Ocasio, and from Bristol Hospital Jill Lombardi, RN, BSN, MS, Families are First operations manager; and Chris Ann Meaney DNP, MHA, RN-BC, NE-BC, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.
