Jennie (Rinaldi) Otnisky, 92, of Bristol, widow of Mike Nick Otnisky, died on Saturday (July 9, 2016) at Bristol Hospital. Jennie was born in Childs, PA on January 10, 1924 and was one of ten children of the late Salvatore and Philomena (Mazza) Rinaldi. A longtime Bristol resident, she was known as “The Cake Lady” having baked many a wedding cake. She used her seamstress skills working at Bristol Hospital for 19 years before retiring. Jennie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Lin Otnisky of Susanville, CA, and Joseph and Mary Otnisky of Burlington; a daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Jack Skelskey with whom she resided in Bristol; three grandchildren: John and Robert Rinaldi, and Ciara Otnisky; four great-grandchildren: Cecelia, Cobey, Melina, and Amanda; a sister-in-law: Caroline Faris of Wilmington, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: Robert Rinaldi; daughter-in-law: Clara Ross; and her nine siblings: Joseph, Frank, Salvatore, Helen Rinaldi, Parma Ross, Rose Tedesco, Mary Fiorito, Theresa Roncari, and Angelina Trelli. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 14, 2016) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Wednesday between 4 and 6 PM.
