Pedestrian suffers serious head injury after being struck by vehicle

A Bristol woman suffered a serious head injury last night after being struck by a motor vehicle in the Pine Street area.

According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, 21-year-old Marissa Rosner was driving a 2001 Mercury Stable east on Pine Street when she collided with a pedestrian, 50-year-old Joyce Reagan-Walsh, who was crossing south on Pine Street in the Valero gas station area. Rosner was arrested for DUI, and Reagan-Walsh was sent to a trauma hospital in Hartford, the release said.

The accident remains under investigation, and witnesses of the accident are asked to call Bristol police at (860) 584-3032.
