Club receives $2,500 grant for Career Launch Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center announced in a press release it has been selected to receive a grant from the People’s United Community Foundation in the amount of $2,500 to support the club’s Career Launch Program during the 2016-2017 year.

The Career Launch program provides teens ages 13-18 years of age with the skills to make sound educational decisions in preparation to join our nation’s work force and become successful employees with the skills to manage their finances, open a check book and save for the future.

“We are thrilled to support the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol in their efforts to help young teens become productive, caring and responsible citizens. It is our pleasure to contribute to such a worthwhile organization that prepares and educates young adults for the future.” said Karen Galbo, director of the People’s United Community Foundation in a press release.
