Obituaries: Henry Krosnicki

Henry Krosnicki, 64, of Bristol passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2016 at his vacation home in Killington, Vermont.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and his daughter, Julie.

Henry was born May 25, 1952 in Southington, CT, son of Jeanette Krosnicki.  Prior to his retirement he was employed as an auditor by the State of Connecticut.  He was a member of St. Anthony Church.

Henry will be missed by the countless people who relied on his warm heart and strong presence of mind.  He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and in-law and a cherished friend to many.  His contagious personality brought happiness and laughter to everyone he met.  His unflagging encouragement to family and friends inspired them to strive and persevere in the face of adversity.

An avid music fan, Henry filled his home and his visitors’ hearts with songs that inspired him.  Henry was always active, even restless at times.  His love of sports was not limited to the spectator role—he was an active tennis, golf, basketball and volleyball player.  Henry cultivated in his daughter the same affinity for music, sports, science-fiction, fantasy and comic books, and she will be forever grateful for these gifts, as well as her father’s relentless support and unyielding love.

Friends admired Henry for his adventures and misadventures.  He and his wife—with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage on July 19, 2016—usually spent weekends in the company of family and a network of friends that extended far and wide.  He was constantly on the phone with his confidantes and would often visit friends across the country.  Henry loved traveling.  Although he has visited multiple continents, he especially treasured the time he spent in Killington, Vermont with his loving daughter and devoted wife.  Henry lives on in the hearts of those who will never forget each moment, each heart-to-heart and each memory shared.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 a.m. from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main Street, Terryville to St. Anthony Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
