J. Timothy’s announces 2 week shut down for renovations starting Aug. 27

Timothy’s Taverne in Plainville will be closing temporarily for a major kitchen renovation. The restaurant will have an extended shutdown period starting Saturday, Aug. 27. The project is estimated to take two weeks and the restaurant will re-open as soon as possible.

The project is needed because the restaurant said it has officially outgrown its kitchen capacity. Numerous national and local awards and national television exposure has increased its business. The project will double its refrigeration capacity to accommodate the approximately three tons of chicken wings the restaurant cooks and serves each week. The restaurant also will be renovating its kitchen cooking line.

The progress of the project will be posted at www.jtimothys.com, as well as the restaurant’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (all @jtimothys).
