Cosmetology school brings in renowned stylist Ted Gibson for graduation

On Oct. 2 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, the International Institute of Cosmetology will be hosting its 13th graduation ceremony and fashion show for the 130 graduates for cosmetology, aesthetics, and makeup.

World renowned hairstylist Ted Gibson will be delivering the commencement speech for graduates and guests.

Press materials from IIC explained, “Celebrity stylist Ted Gibson is one of the most sought out hairstylists in the world. It is nearly impossible to pick up a publication without seeing a celebrity styled by Mr. Gibson. He is also known for contributing to TLC’s ‘What Not to Wear,’ where he was responsible in transforming participant’s hair as the final touch in their makeover. Mr. Gibson is mostly known for working over the locks of top celebrities including Anne Hathaway, Debra Messing, Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong’o, Gabrielle Union, and many more.”

The news release said, “He is a regular contributor on television shows such as ‘The Today Show’ and ‘Good Morning America’ and has also appeared on ‘The Rachael Ray Show,’ ‘Dr. Oz,’ and ‘ABC News’ to name a few.

His work has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, and Allure, said the release. Gibson can be found backstage at runway shows such as Chanel, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. He owns a salon in the NYC that is frequented by everyone from top models and actresses to everyday women.
