The annual Mum Parade is less than a month away, and groups looking to march in this year’s parade are asked to submit their applications as soon as possible to ensure their spot. The due date for applications is Sept. 1.
The parade will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, and this year’s theme is “Bristol – Best Kept Secrets.”
Schools, marching bands, clubs, churches, fire departments, scout groups, dancers, veterans’ groups, musical and theater groups, local businesses, car enthusiasts, and many more community organizations and individuals will take part in the 55th annual parade, stepping off at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 25. As always, there will be awards for floats and marching bands. You do not need to be a Bristol-based group or organization to be in the Mum Parade.
Groups may register online anytime at bristolmumfestival.com/mum-parade or go to the main festival page at www.bristolmumfestival.com and look for the parade application link.
To receive a paper application, or for more information, send an email with your group’s name, a contact phone number, and a mailing address to firstname.lastname@example.org.
