Obituaries: Irene Cozens Folan

Irene (Bandish) Cozens Folan, 88, formerly of Bristol, widow of Richard Cozens and James D. Folan, Jr., died on Tuesday (August 30, 2016) at River Glen Health Care Center, Southbury.  Irene was born in Plymouth, PA on October 17, 1927 and was one of ten children of the late Daniel and Stella (Chiger) Bandish.  She was a longtime Bristol resident where she worked for Bussman’s Manufacturing, serving as union steward.  She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Church, Bristol.  Irene is survived by her a son and daughter-in-law:  Gregory and Christine Huhn of Woodbury; a brother, Joseph Bandish of Torrington; three sisters: Janice Glowicki, Barbara Fioravanti, and her twin Lucille Listorti, all of Bristol; two grandchildren:  Michael and Joseph Huhn; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her three brothers: Matthew, Daniel, and Donald Bandish, and two sisters: Arlene Caminiti and Dolores Ruggerio.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday (September 2, 2016) between 10:30 and 11:30 AM followed by a graveside service at 12 Noon at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Boulevard, Southington, CT 06489-1052.   Please visit Irene’s memorial web-site at www.FUNKFUNERALHOME.comFolan, Irene 001
