Edward C. Navickas, Jr., 81, husband of Margaret “Peg” (Humphrey) Navickas of Bristol, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born February 13, 1935, the son of the late Edward C. and Elizabeth (Christian) Navickas, Sr. He was a foreman and four-slide setup man at Economy Spring Co. and the former Humisons Mfg. Co. for many years before his retirement. He was a US Army Veteran. Ed was a member of the B.P.O.E. #1010 of Bristol, and St. Joseph’s Polish Society. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, UCONN Women’s Basketball fan and outdoor sportsman. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Jay Beaucar and Debra and Donald J. Carr, a sister, Nancy Navickas, three grandchildren, Lisa Beaucar her fiancé Micheal Sansone, David Beaucar and Jamison Carr, a great-grandson, Cole Sansone and three nephews. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Monday evening, November 28, 2016 at 6pm in DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-6pm.
