Leo P. Lausier, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Ingraham Manor, Bristol. He was the beloved son of Maxime and Louise (Coulombe) Lozier.
Leo was born and raised in Fort Kent, ME. On August 11, 1926. He proudly served his country during World War 2, serving in the U.S. Army and after being honorably discharged came to Bristol where he worked at Barnes Foundry in Forestville for over 30 years.
Leo was a communicant of St. Ann Church for over 40 years where was a member of the Army of Mary and was also an usher at the 4:00 p.m. Mass. He was a member of the Seicheprey, CT Post 2 American Legion as well as the VFW.
Leo is survived by his brothers Patrick Lausier and his wife Gertrude of South Windsor and Gilbert Lozier of Bristol; his sister Doris Cyr and her husband Lionel of Avon and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Romeo Lozier, Edgar Lausier, Albert Lozier and by his sisters Leonie Lozier, Irene Violette, Juliette Lozier and Laurette Lozier.
Leo’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. All are asked to meet directly at the church. Committal services and interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol, 06010. The O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville has charge of the arrangements.
