Emmanuel Gagnon, 87, of Bristol, loving husband of Aline (Deschene) Picard Gagnon, passed away on Monday (December 5, 2016) at The Pines at Bristol. Emmanuel was born in St. Ludger, P.Q. Canada on April 22, 1929 and was a son of the late George and Clara (Gilbert) Gagnon. Emmanuel was a longtime Bristol resident. He was retired since 1992 from Accurate Forging and Lachance Tree Service. He was an active member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, the League of the Sacred Heart and L’Armée de Marie. He enjoyed gardening, doing word searches and spending time with his little furry friend Austin. He is survived by two daughters, Claudette Gagnon-Zink of Bristol and Doris Reiss of Trabuco Canyon, CA, and two grandchildren, Briana Zink of Bristol and Alec Reiss of New York; four brothers, Reginald, Andre, Gregoire and Jacques Gagnon; five sisters: Rita Rodrigue, Marie Paule Roy, Georgette Faucher, Rejeanne Roy and Nicole Begin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jeannine (Talbot) Gagnon, a brother: Gilbert Gagnon and three sisters: Gilberte Rodrigue, Yvette Fillion and Therese Lachance. The family would like to thank Debbie Graham, his caregiver, for taking care of their father. Funeral services will then be held on Friday (December 9, 2016) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church, 215 West St, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Thursday between 5 and 8 PM. .
