Bernadette Roy, 79, of Bristol, widow of Raymond Roy, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 3, 2016.
Bernadette was born on October 21, 1937 in Eagle Lake, Maine, a daughter of the late Ernest and Imelda (Charette) Gagnon.
She attended schools in Ft. Kent, ME and Waterbury, CT. She was a member of St. Matthew Church and worked for both Industrial Components and Peck Spring before her retirement.
Mrs. Roy is survived by her daughter, Pamela Barnes of Southington; her sister Arlene Capirchio of Bristol; her grandsons, and granddaughter, her great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Daniel Roy; her brothers Ronald, Bernard, Roland and Daryl Gagnon and her wonderful sister-in-law Claudette Roy.
Bernadette’s daughter, Pam would like to especially thank her partner of 14 years, Gus Ververis for all his love, support and patience in the recent years. Also, a thank you to all the care givers and staff at Sheriden Woods for taking good care of her mom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave. Bristol/Forestville on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
