Frances D. (Drogo) Hussey Scherban Loffredo, 97, of Bristol, widow of Gardner K. Hussey, Alexander Scherban, and Thomas Loffredo, died on Friday (December 9, 2016) at Ingraham Manor. Frances was born in Boston on January 9, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Gaetana (Scabetta) Drogo. She began her career as a seamstress in Massachusetts. She came to Hartford where she worked as bookkeeper for Variety Homes and C & S Distributors. She moved to East Hartford where she lived until retiring. After her retirement she moved to Bradenton, FL where she lived for 28 years while visiting family in Bristol during the summers until returning to live full-time in Bristol in 2011. Frances enjoyed doing crafts and needlework, she did volunteer work in retirement, she loved to travel and especially she loved her family. She leaves her children: Gardner Hussey and wife, Dorothy, of Altamont Springs, FL, Riva Kaminsky of Bristol, Ronald Hussey and wife, Marie, of Farmington, Francine Pinardi and husband, Mitchell, of Rocky Hill, and Debra Dion and husband, Michael, of Florence, MA; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Beside her husbands, she was predeceased by a brother Jimmy and two sisters Mary and Sarah, a son Wayne Scherban and a son-in-law, William Kaminski. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (December 17, 2016) at 10 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
