Adrien Morin, Sr., 78, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at The Pines at Bristol. He was the beloved husband of Camilla (Cyr) Morin.
Adrien was born on January 7, 1938 in Baker Brook, Canada a son of the late Joseph and Rose Alma (Saucier) Morin. He retired as plant manager for Thompson Precision Ball, Abek Division. Adrien was a member of St. Gregory Church; life member of the Knights of Columbus and a life member of St. Jean Baptiste Societe in New Britain. He loved to hunt and fish and was a masterful tree cutter for anyone who needed him.
Besides his wife he leaves his son, Adrien Morin, Jr. and his wife Donna of Bristol; brothers Sylvio Morin of Bristol, Jean Guy Morin and Reno Morin both of Baker Brook, Canada, sisters Adrienne Bouchard and her husband Bertrand of Southington and Marie Martin and her husband Frank of Bristol; grandchildren Tammy Parks, Kevin Lagace, Nicole, Breana and Nathan Morin, and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his children Paul G. Morin, Daniel Morin and Susan Morin Lagace. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Pines at Bristol, social workers and especially the third floor staff for the care they gave Adrien for the past 12 years.
Adrien’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. from O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and will proceed to St. Gregory Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Committal service and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Monday between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
