Adult summer reading kick off on Monday

On Monday, June 15, at 2 p.m., Manross Library will kick off adult summer reading with the program “Extraordinary Gardening for Ordinary Gardeners.” Discover how easy it is to grow unusual garden annuals, such as purple carrots, pumpkins, yard-long asparagus beans, luffa squash gourds, 5-inch zinnias, and unusual sunflowers. Take home a package of free heirloom seeds and a catalog or two. Plan ahead to bring your flowers or whatever you have grown to the garden showcase in August. Borrow one of the wrapped, mystery books.
There will be garden-inspired refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of the Bristol Public Library. There is no fee.
