Pumpkin Festival planned for Forestville Oct. 25


The 10th Annual Forestville Pumpkin Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 25 at Central Square, Forestville from 4 to 7 p.m.

There are new cash prizes. First, Best in Show has a $50 prize; second place, $25; third place, $10. There wil be five categories adult costume, pet costume, painted/decorated pumpkin, carved pumpkin and scarecrow.

There will be games, activities, food, vendors, children, adult, and pet costume parades, pumpkin, and scarecrow contests.

Pumpkin and scarecrow registration for judging will be between 3 to 4 p.m. Scarecrow rules are available in the Nuchie’s Lobby, 164 Central St. Forestville. Late entries will not be judged.

The Childrens’s Costume Parade begins at 4 p.m. from Forestville Manross Library. Pet Costume Parade is at 4:30 p.m. at Simply Hair followed by Adult Costume Parade also at Simply Hair.

Pumpkin illumination will happen at dusk.

All events are free.

Awards will be presented by the Forestville Village Association.
