Library hosts open house Dec. 6


Christmas stories read by the fire, holiday music from the flute ensemble and refreshments will all be available at the Plainville Public Library on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy an old fashioned family open house.
The Friends of the Library will be reading stories to the children from 6 to 7 p.m. by the fire in the marble fireplace in the historic 1931 section of the library. From 7 to 8 p.m., the flute section of the Plainville Wind Ensemble will be performing a variety of music for the holidays.
There will also be a selection of refreshments to welcome the season provided by the Friends of the Library. The holiday open house will start immediately following the Christmas tree lighting at the Plainville Fire House.
