Bristol police have arrested and charged a Southington woman involved in a fatal motorcycle crash last November.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, 20-year-old Crystaly Acevedo of Southington was traveling west on Farmington Avenue (Route 6) and turned left onto King Street when she collided with 34-year-old motorcyclist Corey Cuvelier of Bristol. Cuvelier, who was traveling east on Farmington Avenue, died from a serious head injury, the release said. The investigation determined that speed, texting and impairment were not factors in the Nov. 27 crash, the release said.
Acevedo was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and failure to grant right of way while making a left turn. She was released on a non-surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Feb. 21.
