Carousel museum hosts BARC art show


The New England Carousel Museum and the Bristol Adult Resource Center will present an exhibit called “Innovative Lives” featuring work created by artists at BARC, a non-profit organization that provides services to adults with special needs.

The art work will be presented on Thursday, Aug 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Carousel Museum, 95 Riverside Ave., Bristol, CT. and will be displayed through Sept. 6.

A press release from BARC explained, “Art serves as a therapeutic outlet for many people, BARC couldn’t be more proud to showcase the talents of the programs participants. The art program was launched in December of 2014 and has proven to be a success. This event is another great opportunity to remind the public that people with special needs, are capable of a wide variety of things.”

There will be drinks and light hor d’oeuvres.
