The opening day of Mum Festival activities at Memorial Boulevard attracted a steady crowd on Saturday as 72 vendors, and activities such as the Bristol Auto Club car show, petting zoo, Touch A Truck, bands, lots of food, and a ceremony to salute this year’s Hometown Hero Tony Sileo, drew people to the center of Bristol.
Here are some scenes from Saturday’s activities. Look for a story, further details, and more photographs in the Oct. 2 Observer.
Tomorrow, Sunday, is the annual Mum Festival parade, which steps off from Race Street at 1:30 p.m. For further details look to the special Mum Festival insert in this week’s Bristol Observer.
