Democrats announce candidates for November

The Plainville Democratic Town Committee nominated a full slate of candidates for municipal offices at their meeting on Thursday, July 23. Candidates will be running in the Nov. 3 election for Town Council, Board of Education, constable, and library trustee.
Endorsed candidates running for Town Council include incumbents Quinn Christopher, Christopher Wazorko, and Patrick Kilby. They will be joined on the Town Council slate by Rosemary Morante and Anthony Tarascio. Incumbent Board of Education member Foster White will run with two new Board candidates Michael Verrett and Crystal St. Lawrence.
Four candidates were chosen to run for constable. They are newcomers Kathleen Michalik and Richard Ireland and incumbent constables Jason Rupaka and Robert Ciotto. Rounding out the Democratic endorsed slate is Patricia Fongemie who is running for re-election as a Library Trustee.
Rosemary Morante, party chairperson as well as a candidate, said in a press release: “We had a great nominating session on Thursday night with an abundance of positive energy in the room. Our slate is a good mix of both incumbents and people running for public office for the first time. We will be planning the fall campaign in the coming weeks. Our endorsed candidates are definitely looking forward to getting out there to meet and talk with as many voters as possible over the next few months.”elections dem gop
